A weekend deep dive with Zoe learning how the ancient science of yoga and the art of doula support can support normal physiological childbirth.

Day 1: 10am – 3pm.

Redefining the sensation of labour pain:

In a hands on and interactive group setting we explore the science of pain, what normal physiological childbirth looks like and what instinctive birthing really is. Zoe will facilitate you through a well thought out prenatal yoga sequence to experience ‘going within’, understanding on a practical level how to cultivate a sense of deep relaxation in the body and mind while experiencing the discomfort or ‘muscles working’.

Day 2: 10am – 3pm.

Learning and rehearsing the instinctive birthing skills

Drawing on the practices of yoga we unpack a toolkit of techniques for relieving pain and progressing labour including mindfulness, breathing, sound and movement. Zoe helps you understand how to apply these tools to three main layers of your being: mental (mind), physical (body) and etheric (spirit). A class folio and yoga equipment is supplied.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch, drink bottle, pen and notebook and an inflated birth ball sized for your height, a guide is provided below:

  • 55 cm ball – if your height is under 162 cm

  • 65 cm ball – if your height is 162 cm –  177cm

  • 75 cm ball – if your over 177 cm in height.
